OUT OF CHARACTERAs we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
Role-playing since the Burning Crusade. Overall experienced. Played in the servers of Steamwheedle Cartel and Argent Dawn (and still playing there). Have been successfully leading a RP guild for some time that i later disbanded due to IRL issues.(Q): Why do you want to join us?
My current character is a blood elf mercenary, a concept i always dreamed to try out. I see this guild as fitting to a mercenary, therefore here i am!(Q): Why do you want to join us?
Damn, a good question indeed! I guess it is a way where the player is allowed to have a new "persona" (=mask) and, through it, tie new relationship with others, aswell as discovering new aspects of oneself through the partaking of an immense story. I see it similar to a theatre's recite.
Note: Interestingly enough, Heidegger described a person as an evolving "dialogue". What we do in RP, is truly a dialogue!(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
A good role-player is determined by self-imposing a law that limits the freedom of the character in the crafting of his own story: it is impossible to build up a good story if limits are not taken. In other words, a good role-player is determined whether he respects other role-players or not by imposing a limit on his radical freedom.(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
I'm uninterested in raiding seriously, maybe some pugs should you need a random member and should i be very bored (Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
I'm very interested in PvPing, but mainly with my mains. I am not sure i would, atleast for now, use my rogue in rated PvP. However i'm all up for giving him out during world pvp and such. Or, if you want, i have an experienced mage (i'm talented at pvp, however i have the handicap of not using the microphone).(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
Ingame in the LFRP channel, by an other guildie (i do not recall the name, however).IN CHARACTER
(Meaning it's a dialog)Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
*The sin'dorei smiles kindly.* "My name is Teledrine Amberspear, i am a blood elven rogue."(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
"It is rather helpful to have a company to rely with, rather than being a lone wolf."(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
"My blades are always ready... As long as there's something for me as a reward."(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
*Teledrine Amberspear leads her left hand towards her hairs, playing with them while offering a complacent smile.* "I have mastered the talent of killing. I have poisons, dagger and knifes that will easily accomplish the removal of my target. While i rather not fighting directly against an opponent, i am not afraid to rely on my agility and my daggers to fend off an enemy."(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
"I guess... Giving me a task would be fine enough?"
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...
(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
"Of course, i'd have to calculate where my support would be more helpful. As a rogue, i would definitely aid the city by saving the prisoners, rather than fighting to defend it myself: before freeing the prisoners i might even go out and kill the enemy captain... Causing chaos and strife in the enemy post would be by far more helpful than a pointless last stand. But if i'd know that by leaving i would condemn the entire city, i would definitely fight the Alliance back."
P.S: Here i am, please note i wrote this very late... So i'm quite tired
